Since our beginning in 2011, we have built strong relationships with our hospital partners, who have received health care professionals and students from across the world.
We work with hospitals that are part of the Es Salud health care system, as well as NGO facilities.
Program participants are picked up from their homes each day in a private vehicle, typically beginning their hospital rotation at 8 am. There you will work in your chosen department or area of health care. At all times, there is supervision by local health care professionals working at the facility.
How “hands-on” your experience is is determined by you, your level of experience, level of Spanish, and relationships with Peruvian professionals you are working with. We encourage our program participants to build relationships with local students and professionals, adding to their experience both in and out of the hospital.
At around 12.30 pm each day your driver will be there to collect you to take you home for lunch with your family.
