At the end of your program, you also receive 12 months of access to our online clinical Spanish course (38+ CME credits available for eligible professionals — standalone value $440).
What is included in the program fee?

We understand that plans can sometimes change.
The $400 deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your placement in the program.
However, if you are unable to attend, your deposit can be fully credited toward a future course with us for up to 24 months.
In addition, you will receive 12 months’ access to our online Medical Spanish course (valued at $550) at no extra cost.
Any remaining balance payments are 100% refundable if your plans change.
How many CME credits do healthcare professionals receive?
Our credits are AAFP-prescribed. They are equivalent to AMA category 1 credits.
The medical Spanish classes are accredited, with credits awarded for hours completed. For example, a 2-week intensive medical Spanish program has 64 credits
Hospital rotations and community health fairs are not accredited
Do I need prior Spanish experience?
No—students at all levels are welcome.
We have been teaching medical Spanish since 2011, and our experienced, supportive teachers are used to working with complete beginners through to advanced learners.
Before you arrive, you’ll receive a medical Spanish book (covering both grammar and clinical language), along with access to our online resources to help you prepare.
When you arrive in Trujillo, we’ll assess your level and place you in the most appropriate group, so you feel comfortable and can make rapid progress from day one.
What is the accommodation situation?
Homestay accommodation in private rooms, with 2 meals per day (Sunday breakfast only), is included in the program costs.
We work with local host families for full language immersion. All have comfortable homes, are very welcoming, and are less than a 10-minute walk from our center.
You are welcome to stay with your host from the Saturday before your program begins.
If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation, we will reduce the cost of your program by $140 per week.
Will I be given materials before I begin the program?
On completion of the booking form. We will send you a physical book covering both grammar and medical Spanish. We will also send you a link to access online medical Spanish resources you can use on your phone to help you build your medical Spanish, general vocabulary, and grammar before arriving in Peru.
How does the 12 months online CME access work?
Regardless of the program you choose, or its duration, we will provide you with 12 months access to our CME-accredited online course at the end of your program with us in Peru. For more information, see medicalspanishcme.com
