We receive healthcare professionals taking medical Spanish immersion courses and/or clinical rotations each week. Over 40% of our participants are professionals with varying levels of experience who chose us to help develop their medical Spanish skills, experience healthcare in Peru, and enjoy the country’s beauty and culture.
As well as residents from the US and beyond, we receive experienced attending physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.
Once here, your immersion begins with family homestay accommodation. The classroom course is intensive and is where you will quickly advance. Beyond the classroom, you will practice these language skills on our Friday community health fairs and/or a hospital rotation.

Medical Spanish Courses
You can take your language course for 4 or 7 hours daily, Monday to Friday. Our team of doctors and language teachers teach classes at all levels.
Most participants choose the 7-hour course with classes from 9 am to 12 noon and 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The course covers conversation, Spanish grammar, and medical Spanish. Please see more details regarding medical Spanish programs.
CME accreditation
PAs, NPs, Physicians, and Nurses are eligible for CME credits from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Our courses offer up to 128 credit hours with AAFP.
We recommend that you attend for a minimum of 2 weeks. However, 1-week courses take place on the first week of each month. CME credits are awarded according to the number of hours you complete.

Comfortable Accommodation
Our course fees include accommodation and meals.
As an immersion course, participants stay with local families. We work with middle-class families, all located within a 10-minute walk of our school. All participants stay in private rooms, most with private bathrooms.
We welcome partners or family members.
If you prefer to stay at a local hotel, options include the Hilton Hotel and Wyndham Costa del Sol, both of which are a 5-minute taxi ride from our center.

Activities
For course participants, we include a gym membership. Within our language program, we also organize weekly activities. The activity may be a meal, preparing pisco sour, or bringing a dance teacher to the school.

Community health fairs
Most participants get involved in our weekly community health fairs. Here you will work with our doctors providing free consultations and medicine to underserved communities around the city. Aside from being a rewarding opportunity to use your professional skills, health fairs are also an excellent opportunity to measure your progress in communicating with Spanish-speaking patients.
