Good local hotel options include Hilton, DoubleTree, and Wyndham Costa del Sol.

Can partners or family members take Spanish classes?

Yes — this is very popular.

Partners can join the general Spanish components of our program, including:

  • Conversation
  • Vocabulary
  • Grammar

These are designed for healthcare environments but do not require a medical background.

Options include:

  • Afternoon classes (2.5 hours/day)
  • Full-day programs (morning + afternoon)

Non-healthcare participants can join the general Spanish elements, but the pure medical Spanish component is reserved for healthcare professionals.

Partners often:

  • Take Spanish classes
  • Go to the gym or fitness classes
  • Enjoy the many local cafes
  • Explore the city or local beaches
  • Join volunteer opportunities
  • Participate in social and cultural activities

There is plenty to do in and around Trujillo.

Is this suitable for physicians or professionals traveling with a partner?

Yes — many qualified physicians and professionals join our programs.

While some prefer the full immersion homestay experience, others opt for:

  • More private or hotel-style accommodation
  • A balance of clinical work and structured Spanish learning

We can tailor accommodation recommendations to suit your comfort level.

Will my partner feel included?

Absolutely. Partners and family members can:

  • Join social activities
  • Attend language classes
  • Participate in community events

Many find the experience just as rewarding as the program participants.

That is fine.  There is wifi available with your host, at local cafes, and at our center.
